Protect Your People® with chemical protective clothing and innovative solutions.
Lakeland Industries is one of the largest manufacturers of industrial safety clothing in the world. With several decades of experience in the development, design, manufacture and supply of chemical protective clothing, the company now produces a range of garments for protection against chemicals flames and heat.
Originating in Alabama, USA and with a head office in New York, the company has a global and growing footprint with production facilities and sales offices in most regions of the world and products used in over 40 countries. Lakeland Protects People, it`s what we do. And our drive to better protect more workers globally, continues and is stronger than ever.
Lakeland is known for high quality, derived from a high level of experience and expertise, perhaps explaining why the company was approached by the UK government`s Department For International Development (DFID) in 2014 for supply of garments for use in the Ebola relief effort in Sierra Leone. Our global manufacturing base and flexibility meant we were able to quickly ramp up production and supplied over half a million specially designed garments in 6 months.
Our Stand at Contamination Expo will focus on its range of limited life clothing for chemical protection; ChemMax. This offers garments for a range of protection from lightweight, lower hazard splash protection to high hazard protection against highly toxic substances.
Lakeland is also known for innovative solutions, and the stand will also feature the `Push-Lock` Glove Connection System, allowing easy and quick connection of chemical gloves to ChemMax suit sleeves with a Type 3 jet test seal, Cool Suits® - a unique range of breathable chemical protection using the unique Cool Suit® breathable design, and Pyrolon, a range of disposable garments based on fabric that combines both chemical protection and flame resistance.
Chemical spillage control can be about rapid reaction, and the companies Permasure® app allows response teams to assess real-world Safe-Use times for Lakeland chemical suits in seconds... and for over 4000 chemicals. Demo`s will be available on the stand.
