Karl Hall is a regional technical manager at Hydro International with an academic background in construction management and he has been working in the construction sector for over 30 years. For the last 17 years he has specifically worked in the water sector, specialising in flood defence systems and latterly sustainable drainage systems.
Tackling Urban Pollution at the Wymondham Household Waste Recycling Centre
The seminar describes how a sustainable and naturalistic solution was sought to mitigate the risk of damaging pollutants entering the environment from a household waste recycling site. The range of identified pollutants was very diverse, so a broad spectrum solution was needed that demonstrably removed the pollutants but also required the minimum of intervention and maintenance.
