GLENCOE RADON GAS CENTRE LIMITED

Philip Hancock founded Glencoe Radon Gas Centre Ltd in 1992 in Weston-super-Mare. GRGC was the first radon centre in the UK when opened in November 1992.
Philip began a public awareness campaign on the risk from radon, concentrating his efforts in Cornwall and Northamptonshire and gave presentations to the National Radiological Protection Board, now Public Health England, The Buildings Research Establishment and the Health & Safety Executive in addition to local and county councils.
Philip designed and obtained a patent on the Radvac Radon Sump in 1995, and a European patent in 1996.
In 1995 Philip’s radon extraction system won The Environment and Power Award at the NEC in Birmingham. In 1996, Philip attended the European Parliament in Brussels.
Philip introduced the first commercial Radon Extraction Kit (including DIY) and has excellent radon reduction results and laudatory letters from satisfied clients across the UK.
