Simon is a Chartered Chemist who has been involved in construction for over 20 years, twelve of which directly related to the development of Brownfield Sites. Working for Envirotreat, Simon has been involved in all aspects of contaminated land remediation, including planning, site investigation, options appraisal, onsite remediation and validation. During this period Simon has directly managed over 40 remediation projects ranging from small petrol filling stations to complex integrated schemes. Some of the key highlights have been the remediation of the Barking Riverside and the former JCB facility in Uttoxeter.
For the last five years Simon has been closely involved in the establishment of dedicated soil and waste recycling facility in South Wales, the Treatment Hub.


Reuse and Disposal of contaminated soils on construction sites
We will explore the processes, pit falls and consequents involved in the reuse and / or disposal of contaminated soils on construction sites.
We will demonstrate best practice and permitting requirements.
We will also explore various soil disposal options and how to comply with legislative requirements and still achieve a sound commercial outcome.
