The EA has updated its guidance in April 2021 regarding the use of on site chemical analysis methods. The EA recognises the value of site analysis techniques to enable the understanding of the nature and extent of any contamination on a site.
- The Environment Agency now allows on site analysis to be used for waste management purposes.
- On site analysis improves the quality of the site investigation by enabling greater sampling density.
- On Site analysis reduces the cost of remediation and gives real time data, allowing fast decision-making.
